Coaching - Session Leader - Committee

The role

Volunteering with Anchor VC is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a community-driven, volunteer-run club and help shape the future of volleyball in Dundee. We're looking for individuals to step into roles such as buddys, junior coaches, referees, session leaders, and event coordinators—each critical to the smooth operation of our club. Whether you're a young adult or grownup, your contribution can make a real impact. By volunteering, you'll gain valuable experience, develop leadership skills, and become part of a passionate team that fosters both athletic and social growth.

Join us to help drive Anchor VC forward and be part of something truly special!

Are you an experienced player? Coaching a development group can be an exciting new challenge that allows you to give back to the sport in a meaningful way.

It’s an opportunity to pass on the knowledge and skills you've gained, helping newer players grow while fostering their passion for volleyball. Coaching also offers a fresh perspective on the game, enhancing your understanding and sharpening your leadership abilities. If you're ready for a rewarding venture where you can inspire and shape the next generation of players, stepping into a coaching role is the perfect way to make a lasting impact on your local volleyball community

Whether you're available each week, once a month, or just want to give it a shot, we'd love to have you onboard.

The Session Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing our 1.5-hour Recreational Sessions on Saturday nights, where the focus is all about having fun.

After a quick warmup led by the players themselves, the leader ensures that the environment remains relaxed and friendly, allowing everyone to enjoy the social and playful side of volleyball without the pressure of drills.
While the Session Leader won’t need to conduct any drills or warmups, their responsibilities include safely setting up the posts and net, managing entry through an alarmed door that requires deactivation with a fob, and ensuring that everything is tidied up after the session. Additionally, the leader is responsible for locking the door and returning the keys to the keyholder, helping maintain the smooth operation of our recreational activities. This position is perfect for those who want to contribute to a positive, fun-filled atmosphere while ensuring that our sessions run safely and efficiently.

We invite all adult members to consider participating in the club committee, where your voice and ideas can help shape the future of Anchor VC. Joining the committee is a fantastic way to contribute to the club’s growth, influence decisions, and enhance our community spirit.

Your insights and perspectives are invaluable in making our club an even better place for everyone. Whether you have experience in sports management or just a passion for volleyball, your involvement can make a significant impact. Let's work together to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where all members feel valued and engaged!
